2019 was an eye-opener for me. It was a special year because I became father for the first time, but it was also rough for me in other areas. Doing the most stressful work till then in my life(Rewriting Accounting module of WP ERP plugin from scratch), 6-7 hours of soul-sucking journey per day to and from my workplace to name a few. I even had to go to office for one day to run some errands during my paternity leave! I was not able to give my family time they deserve; I didn’t have much time to take my baby girl into arms after I came home. Not only that, but I didn’t have breakfast in home because that would make me late for my office. All these things and some more made me realize that the only way to pull my life together is working from home. So I started working from home mid-February. As I didn’t have any prior work-from-home experience, I was honestly struggling to keep the life-work balance. Then the pandemic came….
Working from home and keeping a perfect Life-Work balance is easier said than done! Soon I found out that I am working on weekends to cover for lost hours in weekdays. Though I am still trying to get rid of that bad habit, I am yet to figure out a plan that works! I had so many things planned for 2020…but at the end I ended up spending most of my time to adjusting myself to the new normal. So ultimately it became a year of “Transition” for me. Hopefully 2021 will be the year when I am able to have some order in my life and do some great work.
I am really hoping that 2021 will be the year of “Transformation”. 2021 is the year when I finally took the first steps to start writing on my own blog after years of thinking to do that.
